Today, I finally told my boyfriend I have a medical condition that makes me grow an unusual amount of hair on my face, so I shave every day. He said he was leaving me because he refuses to be with a "bearded lady". FML

Is it polycystic ovaries? I sympathise, op. I have a patch of hair I have to shave every day, but blood tests didn't show a problem. Guess I'm just lucky :/

I think both are wrong on this one. Should've been open up front but he's definitely all about the physical (which you don't need in your already stressed life, OP) I hope he goes bald. OP not all men are focused on the physical-cheer up!

i have to shave every day too because i have PCOS and it really sucks screw him for being a jerk we cant control our hormones!

My mother has PCOS and has passed the hairy trait along to me. I feel you on this one; I've got hair just about everywhere.

I actually properly logged into my FML account for the 1st time since I made my account ages ago; to comment on this. I to have PCOS and have to shave my face every morning or else I get very noticeable stubble on my face at around lunch time. I have had this issue since I was a teenager, I am now 24. I told my boyfriend about it shortly after we started dating. My boyfriend said he didn't care cause its out of my control and it doesn't change my personality and who I am. My boyfriend is now my husband of nearly 6 years. When I feel disgusted in myself or am crying because of how ugly I feel due to this condition, he is there to rub my face and say im beautiful. There are men like my husband out there OP and I do hope you find one like him one day!

You people who are like "she should have told him at the beginning" it's not a ******* STD or admission of being a man in the past. It's facial hair..... It can be removed just like the hair on her legs she removes to your liking. It's a medical condition and just hair. Chill.
