It was the thought that counts
That's one nutty situation. Sorry OP. At least the law backs you up too as your innocence is covered by the Good Samaritan Act
Cool.I would have laughed in pleasure, seeing the creature die.No I am not an animal abuser, not am I like this in real life.Sort of.
I bet you're the coolest kid in your 7th grade class.
You should've just called any nearby animal experts such as the ASPCA or something. If you were to manage to catch it, I'd give it a week of survival in your care, judging by the fact you checked Google for help.
Try a day given that this ones a first class idiot.
Here's a thought take said baby squirrel into the house and then Google what to do. Or better yet don't google because you're NOT A VET and take it to a vet or to a wildlife rescue shelter. Dumb ass!
If you ever come across another animal that you think needs rescuing, keep an eye it from a distance until the end of the day to see if the mother comes back at all or if the animal really does need help before you try to catch it. A lot of the time people think an animal needs help just because of their size. Wanting to rescue it is a nice thought, but more often than not animals are only distressed by human intervention that they don't need. I've only come across one animal that actually needed help. It was a baby bird that had fallen out of a nest in a bush. After several hours his mother hadn't been back and he was too little to move anything but his head, so I had an impromptu pet bird for a while.
At least you tried
i once saved a squirrel, it was hit by a car comming against me. she just ran it over and continued, so to save it and put it out of its pain, i ran it over with my 16 ton truck :(
You killed it!!!
Keywords
should have picked it up carefully and carried it to safety before using Google
I would've at least tried to take care of it the best I could and bring it to a safe place first before googling what to do next. Animals won't wait for you forever, you know.
