Today, I found a parking citation from my college on my car windshield. It read PERMIT CITATION at the top. It confused me, as I had bought a parking permit 2 or 3 weeks before so that I wouldn't get a ticket. Turns out I got fined because the permit was on the wrong side of the windshield. FML

Well, the worst part of it was what I saw when I was driving on the way back to my dorm. Somebody driving past with the sticker in the same place mine was. It just pisses me off. Like the guy with the Mustang I see every day. He can't ever get a real parking spot, so he's always parked in the Service Vehicles spot. I never see a ticket on his windshield. This is at NAU, btw. Yes, they are fucktards about this shit.

I don't know why, but that seems sorta typical in todays societies... If you ever see the person who gave you the ticket, take your keys and shove it up his/her @$$ and say "Oops! Wrong side!"

Oh yeah? Same thing totally happened to me at UVU... except my citation process was a lot longer. First, I was told by student information that there was a "free lot" at the school, pretty far away from campus. I went to go park in it, and got a citation. Turns out even though it's a free lot, you had to get a parking sticker. So I got a sticker and parked. I saw a parking services lady beginning to write me a citation as I was walking back to my car, and I showed her my sticker. She said, "Oh", and walked away. I figured I didn't deserve a citation. I was wrong, apparently; I ended up getting another citation later. Turns out my sticker was on the wrong side of the windshield, just like the OP. So I got another sticker, put it in the right place, and parked. I got yet another citation. Turns out you're supposed to park in the back half of the lot. So um... yeah. Cops do cite you. For stupid reasons. End of story. (Granted, I should have double checked every last one of the parking rules, but still... the parking services lady didn't bother to tell me either that my sticker was on the wrong side of the windshield OR that I had parked in the wrong lot? That could have saved me TWO out of three citations.)

Wow fyl for living in Arizona lol wtf is in Arizona. The name alone makes you just think wtf is a Arizona. Are you talking about the drink bitch? lmao

ya thats why i write warnings...because its a dick move to tell em to move a pass to the other side. i do eventually ticket the person and charge them if they receive two warnings and still havent moved it. Either way i notify the person on the ticket where the pass should be

that's ******* balls...i'd take it up with the campus authorities

Yo, that has actually happened to me. I got a bus lot parking permit from my parents and they told me to put it on one of my rear windows. It was just a sticker, no indication of where to put it exactly. The cop still gave me a ticket, because it was on the wrong side. So ******* stupid

The parking nazis at my old university were the same way. They were so dumb and handed out parking tickets like candy. I got 2 for parking in a wrong spot (that the dumbass lady who gave me my decal said I could park in, since I was a Freshman I didn't know any better) by the time I got back out to my car. Yes... 2. They couldn't see that I already had one on my windshield so they wrote me one within 8 hours of the other. I was living in the dorms so I didn't go back to my car, that's why it was parked there for so long. But joke was on them when they tried to write me up for an expired decal (I was trying to get away with it for as long as I could, which I actually got away with it for a whole semester!!) but accidently hit expired registration. So I got the ticket dismissed. =] I actually knew one of the kids doing the ticket crap (yes, they have students writing those tickets. >.

Fair enough. You failed to follow instructions. You deserved it.

how is this not overwhlemed with YDI?? it probably said where to put the parking pass so it's your own damn fault.
