I found a tiny deer mouse on the sidewalk that was maybe 9 days old, its eyes still closed. Everybody told me it would die but I ignored them. For the first month I had to wake up every two hrs to feed her kitten formula thru n eye dropper. I kept her cage warm with a heating pad wrapped in a towel set on low, till her eyes opened. Almost 4yrs later, she is still alive and runs on her exercise wheel every night. 4 is pretty old for a mouse. She is very tame now and lets you hold her and sits in my shirt pocket.

You seem like a very caring person OP. Real feeings can't be manufactured so you should embrace your sensitivity and kindness and count yourself lucky to have such character.

So many people on here are compassionate for animals but when they see a fellow human being they just look the other way and couldn't give two *****...I'm not saying all of the people on here, but most of them

Call me cold, callous, and unsympathetic, but baby animals die through no fault of anyone. It's Nature and it happens. Yes, I shed a tear when my sheltie died, but I never got choked up even when I watched him listlessly limp around the house, losing his hair, and upchucking his dinner. Yeah, your mom's a bitch, but at the same time, we can't save everybody.
