pere tells us more.
there's a few treatments that help stop the vasoconstriction, but most have side effects (of course!) so a first course of action is just to bundle up...which believe me, doesn't work nearly as optimally as it should! And yup, purple/grey feet when they warm up! Some people have really severe cases where open ulcers + gangrene can occur and yes, they really do lose fingers and toes :(

thats cool, ive had it since grade 7 and live in canada, suck it up nobody feels sorry for you
At least you don't have it and live in Minnesota, like me. Or Canada like thegoodlife. It really could be a lot worse...think about it, you could not have hands or feet at all.
No worries. I live in Northern Alberta, Canada and I just get used to it. You just learn to deal with it.
Oh boo freaking hoo OP! I have Raynaud's too and I live in Upstate New York and it gets really cold too! I was cold in 90 degree weather. Just deal with it. It could be worse. It's not life threatening.
You do realize that loss of blood flow can, in fact, kill you? UNRELATED: I think it's interesting how many people 'have' Raynaud's. I'm wondering, is it that common, or are some folks just full of S$&$? Look up alien hand syndrome. It's freaking hysterical how many people claim to have it.
#146 There's quite a difference between Raynaud's and "alien hand syndrome."
I live in Ohio too Sheffield lake
ooh, i've been diagnosed with that too. so lame. as they said, it's not something you "get", you are born with it, or with the potential to develop it. some consider it genetic - and for example my maternal grandfather also suffered from it. and it's not just cold - a few people also experience attacks (or are more likely to) when really stressed, so try to relax as well! but most of all, stay warm! those handwarmers are really nifty, grab a few! :D
^ Amen to that. It was pretty warm for a while, but then winter struck out of nowhere.
I live in Georgia and I'm wearing a t-shirt, a long sleeve and a fleece. Indoors. It's COLD here. And I'm from Germany, so I know what cold is.

Wow. You should move to Florida or somewhere that's mainly always sunny!
I have the same problem and I also live in Ohio. I wear my coat and fingerless gloves all the time during class and when I got out. I bought a heater for my room and I have a bed warmer so I'm never cold at my house but when I go out...ugh it sucks. Just from getting in my car in the morning when its really cold within a few minutes my fingers are numb and white. I feel your pain.
