You're better than their parents who probably just leave them and go talk about them. Little kids won't ask you 20 million questions about your future or if you're seeing anyone.

DOUBLE STANDARDS - if you were a girl they'd be grateful you're interested in being around their kids. I was always the one who took the time to play with the kids at family gatherings and the other adults were always tell me that I'd be a great mom and how happy their kids were when I was around etc. They loved having "a responsible adult" there to distract the kids and keep them out of their hair.

I wish I had a fun relative like you. When I was a kid my sister and I were the youngest ones by far and since we didnt play well together I always had to ask adults to play and they said no a lot. It's sad though that when a guy wants to play with kids people think it's "creepy."

Let me tell you, from experience of being the youngest in the family, kids LOVE when adults join them to play! I had one awesome uncle who would always play sports with us kids and make it fun. Sad, because those kids will suffer (of course not LITERALLY) without someone fun like you.

I'm sorry OP, that's not cool of them! There's nothing wrong with being able to hang out with the kids and adults!
