Today, I found out my roomie has lost her only source of income. This means I'm responsible for all the bills and the rent. I would kick her out and get someone else, but she's my mother. FML

First off, the OP just said that the very reason they're NOT kicking her out is because she's their mother. Secondly, stfu, because the parents decide to have the baby, not the child, AND they have less taxes

If you have the balls for it, you could always trick out your mother to make ends meet. Nothing turns on a sex-depraved pervert more than a child pimping out his or her mother, or is that just me?

Unfortunately, it's the other way around (unless the mom is hot). *looks for pedobear*

That's more than logical! Make her take out her teeth and tell her to hit the streets!

If you have another spare room have someone else move in with both of you.

She's your mom you kind of have to take care of her, I mean she took care of you for a good part of your life, so now is the time to pay her back.

For everyone saying her mom took care of her when she was younger, that is a parents job. The parents chose to have a child, which means taking care of that child. As a child(meaning you parents), you should not have to support your parents or have to take care of them until they physically or mentally can no longer care for themselves.

^ that makes you sound really ungrateful. If your parents need help, and you have the means to help them, then yes, it is your responsibility as their child to help them out. Even if it is before they are physically and mentally unable to take care of themselves. Actually, forget responsibility, you should WANT to help your parents out, not because you "owe" them, but because they're your parents.

I agree with 35, it's called FAMILY. You stick together and help them get back up when they land on their ass. One would hope you'd want to do it too....cause it's this crazy lil thing called love?

Yea the only reason why some familys have kids are to take care of them and provide. So they provide food, shelter, and clothes, only if you can provide food and shelter when they retire

Actually I am helping to support my mother right now, she lost her job so I'm paying all her bills and mine. So I'm saying this to people saying it as if you owe your parents. I CHOSE to do this.

Sorry but I'm not ungrateful, I am taking care of my mom who recently did loose her job and am paying all her bills and my own. What I am saying is it is not my responsibility to do it because I owe her for choosing to have a child, and raising it like a parent should. And she actually never raised me but my grandparents and godparents did.

Exactly. I'm appalled OP would consider kicking out their mother. That's what's wrong with kids today. They are all spoiled and think about 'me me me.'

Good for you OP! Remind her of "the time you payed her bills" when you need a favor =)

It depends on how she lost get job. I certainly wouldn't call an individual whose job closed or has been laid "irresponsible". If she lost it due to her not showing up for work, then yeah the title fits then. The recession has affected many "responsible" people.
