Today, I found out my roomie has lost her only source of income. This means I'm responsible for all the bills and the rent. I would kick her out and get someone else, but she's my mother. FML

First off, the OP just said that the very reason they're NOT kicking her out is because she's their mother. Secondly, stfu, because the parents decide to have the baby, not the child, AND they have less taxes

That veiw is so stupid ur parents made u they should take care of u until u can take care of youre self. Parents should be self sficiant and only need help wen absolutly nessiccary.

Haha I think it's funny that u call your mom your "roomie" . Way to sugarcoat the fact that you still live with your parents. Lol

1. She isn't sugar coating anything, if she said mother right away it wouldn't be a surprise. 2. It sounds like she lives with her mother, not her parents. 3. If she wants to have her mom as a roommate what's wrong with that?

She's your mother. She raised you and supported you. Now it's your turn. This isn't an FML

I know I do not know the whole situation, maybe ops mom did not take good care of them when they were a child. I think though since they lived together she must have done something right. I know that children do not ask to be born, but except very few people with problems nobody would want to not be born. There are plenty of shitty parents out there that do not take responsibility that's why are foster system is so overwhelmed. Ops Mom probably did a good job. Things are tough right now , bit I would same fml to op and their mom.

Well well well. It looks like the tide has finally turned. It's about bloody time. Now you get to experience what it feels like to have someone free load off you.

Ydi.. NEVER enter a business agreement with relatives

What the hell? How do you know this was some sort of business agreement? Thats right, you don't. Shut up...

I honestly don't believe that children should have to support their parents later in life because they were supported growing up. It is a personal decision to have children and if one of the reasons a parent is doing so is to reap the benefits when the child is older, they probably shouldn't be a parent at all. However, I do strongly believe in helping family in need because you love them. You really shouldn't need any other reason than that.

127, sometimes the right to take care of a child is legally taken away from a biological parent because they lack parenting skills.

Don't blame your mom, blame this damn recession we're in. She most likely got laid off; same with my mom and countless of other people.
