How old is your son? If he's under 3 or 4, get some DNA test. If he's older than 15, suck it up.

This actually isn't all that uncommon, if the truth be told. My son has the middle name of my wife's first husband; she liked the name. And an old girlfriend of mine gave her twins my first and middle names. No DNA testing needed in either case. An homage, really.

I might do that in the far future. but only because I've always really liked the name Jacob, not because of my ex though. I loved the name waaay before my exboyfriend Jacob came along.
