Today, for our 8 month anniversary, my boyfriend bought me a hideous necklace with ugly charms hanging off it. I wore it anyway and got a rash from it on the side of my neck. After seeing the rash my boyfriend accused me of having a hickey from another guy and broke up with me. FML

All you people saying at least you got a present obviously don't understand women. We don't want something that you gave your ex, we want something that you picked out for us, even if it's cheap, if you picked it out just for us it makes it extremely special and meaningful. Giving a woman something you gave your ex is basically saying we aren't special to you. FYL OP. You need to have a talk with him.

What's a guy going to do with a necklace? You're just pissed because he didn't give it to you at some other time and then buy you a gift of your own. Yeah, birthday gifts are usually supposed to show thought, but boo-*******-hoo. It's not the end of the world and you got a nice gift, stop being so self-absorbed.
