haha you should have been a better girlfriend so you are actually worth a new gift. YDI
change his toothbrush with the one which belonged to your ex. boyfriend ! (... and sell the necklace on ebay !!)
you need a new boyfriend!! is he going to give you his ex fiance's wedding ring next? my ex tryed to give me a gift that was meant or his ex, and my more recent ex gave the ring he bought me to his friend to give to his girl. its a bad cycle on both sides. i hate guys that re-gift things for other women. and re-gifting in general>:[.
The Bright Side: He can still afford things that matter, and he isn't hung up on his ex. p.s. What is the big deal? I mean seriously "Oh my god! Another woman has touched this necklace i refuse to touch it too!" What do you expect him to do throw away perfectly good jewelry that probably cost quite a bit? To your FML, I say look at the big picture.
Who gives a flying ****? You just tell him you're offended/upset and talk about it. I am not sure how you figured it out, perhaps that is the FML and the bitch/sweet/radioactive/whatever ex told you. But unless boyfriend says "You are just here for me to bone, have this fifteen scent necklace and get jiggy with me" then this isn't something that can't be fixed in two minutes. You should have told us how you found out it was originally for the ex. Also to everyone who thinks the gift might be expensive, we don't know this. A "gift" should always be given with kindness and the person in heart. This is not one of those cases, but it is also not the end of the world.

All you people saying at least you got a present obviously don't understand women. We don't want something that you gave your ex, we want something that you picked out for us, even if it's cheap, if you picked it out just for us it makes it extremely special and meaningful. Giving a woman something you gave your ex is basically saying we aren't special to you. FYL OP. You need to have a talk with him.
So you're mad at him for recycling?
