Today, I found out that when buying my $500 dollar dress I put my address as Austria instead of Australia. FML

Hope you can contact the company in time OP!

I'm sure that can be changed. If you bought it online they should send you a confirmation email. You could call the store and have them change it.

oh c'mon. OP probably mis-clicked on a dropdown AZ list. Not a brain mistake.

somebody is going to be happy with a $500 dress in Austria...

You realise that, apart from the country, you had to put the name of the city, right? So a very quick search from the company will show them that the city (and the full address) is not in Austria but Australia. I'm sure is a common mistake, but always double and triple check! Specially with expensive items!

Just get in contact with the shipping company. People make errors on their address all the time.

Holy crap! I pray to GOD they can fix it before shipping it!

I did this once and only realised once the tracking showed the package heading in a suspiciously European direction. I contacted the company as soon as I realised after I read on the shipping web site the sender could redirect it mid transit. Instead they just responded they'd send the package again. I assumed they'd redirect the other package back to them from Austria, nope! It arrived in Austria they must have taken one look, face palmed, grumbled 'not again' crossed out Austria wrote Australia and send it back on its way to me. So... I ended up with two of everything I bought in the end. It was great, because they contained some rather expensive geeky gadgets, but I wouldn't try and get away with it again. I think this probably happens a fair bit op, it's an easy slip of the finger on a drop down list. I'm sure you will get the dress, it will just take longer.

When you have a country with a name so close to the other you should watch for it! Computers are constantly assuming CA is California instead of CA. Should always review your shipping info I voted ydi.

I hope they will contact you back.. Because i am pretty sure that zip codes in Austria and Australia are not same
