Today, I found out why my room-mates and I have been ill for the past week. Apparently a rodent climbed into our water cooker and died. I have been drinking tea and eating noodles that have been tainted by a corpse all this time. FML

Sooooo, this was my FML. Sadly, I didn't taste anything, since I didn't drink the water pure, but always mixed in cup-a-soup or something similar. Luckily me and my roommates are fine now, we're all a bit afraid of preparing food though, scared that there might be some kind of rodent in other kitchen devices. Obviously we threw away the water cooker (for those who didn't know what that is, seriously? you couldn't even think of what it 'might' be?) and since we got our new cat, Sammie, we haven't had any mice or rats crawling around! Yaaaay for Sammie!

That was the rats revenge for you murdering their young in the garbage disposal.

Sooo, rat soup? But really, that's sickening. No one noticed anything tasting "off"?

Can't imagine how you wouldn't notice a rat in a water cooker, simply because you have to open it before putting water in it. But you're probably a student who build herself a state of the art cooker with dying animals in it.

like my momma says what doesnt kill you only makes you fatter so lets hope this just makes you fatter but seriously how could you not notice?

Well at least now you don't have to wonder how a rodent tastes like!

Well, no, if the water was boiling it would have effectively sterilized everything.

You guys should hop off aim_low's dick.. He's obviously trolling and you guys are feeding the troll.

OP you and your room-mates deserve it for not washing your water cooker. On the flip side, I call BS because you would have smelled the dead rodent and noticed the horrid taste of rotting flesh.

On the plus side, extra protein!

Its a little machine in the wall that automatically fills up and boils so you just put a cup under the spout and pull the tab thing. It pretty much a water cooler in the wall except boiled

OP - I am seriously not kidding when I say, PLEASE get yourself and anyone else who was ill, tested at the hospital for Leptospirosis. Wild Rats often carry it in their urine. Not sure if mice do but I know rats do for certain.
