The real gift not coming yet, be patient to the end of the day.
Next time learn what your wife likes and doesn't like. I stopped buying my wife expensive jewellery ages ago for this very reason. Now I buy the cheap stuff. She actually wears that. So I get her about 10 cheap earrings instead of one expensive set because she loses them a lot. It's become a Christmas ritual.
I would be pissed if my girlfriend wasted 900 dollars on a tiny piece of gold that's barely noticeable. What is your wife supposed to do? Worry about losing it? This Christmas, my sister bought me a bundle of grapes, because yesterday, I was talking about how I haven't had any fruit (which I love) in a while. That, in my opinion, is better, because there's actually THOUGHT in it.
A boring necklace or star wars pajamas... I'd choose the necklace.
you have to put more effort into women. buying pricy jewelry doesn't cut it, next time have her pick out what she wants.
What is with men thinking that women enjoy jewelry? And the more expensive the better? Are you guys braindead!? Why don't you get us something that we can actually use? You could've gotten her a bunch of spiffy gadgets for 900$...
At least pajamas are more functional, comfortable, less expensive, more enjoyable, and... well, not a $900 necklace. I'd prefer a neat-looking $20 necklace from an art fair, honestly. All in all, that much money's better spent on an experience, rather than a material I'd only wear once or twice a year, if that. FYL as well as YDI, hopefully you learn from this.

TBH I would not be excited about wearing $900 either. That's a lot of money wasted if it's lost or broken. Also, I think it's more exciting to go pick out jewelry together than have him just show up with something he hopes I like. I think most jewelry is a joke, so chances are anything someone else picks out for me would be something that is hideous or looks like costume jewelry.
as u should be. may the force be with u
