exactly my thought
Unless lifeguard training has changed a lot you should be able to save someone else which means you have to be able to swim without all your limbs while towing another person. So I'm surprised you couldn't handle it yourself unless both arms and both legs cramped.
How does something like that happen? You DO know how to float if you have a cramp right? YDI for eating before swimming! O was a Lifeguard one time, it's a really fun job! :D

Well, sucks for you and all, but everyone has cramps once in a while, right?
You don't have to make up a story, it's not fooling anyone. Your attempt at seducing your fellow lifeguard with your damsel in distress is coming along nicely.
