Today, I got a speeding ticket. I couldn't find my insurance card, and the cop was very nice. He said not to worry about it, that I "looked like someone who had insurance." I'm not sure how to take that. FML

Passive aggressiveness at its finest. Don't worry, OP: the cop might have said you look incapable of operating machinery more complex than a corkscrew (and that might be pushing it, frankly), but that applies to most of us!

Man. Lucky you. I got a speeding ticket earlier this year, and didn't have my insurance paper with me and got fined extra :( I never get breaks. But I kind of look like a hooligan, so..

it means you don't look irresponsible and incapable of paying ins, like a crook that doesn't like to keep a trail or you just got off the boat with no papers....that's right I said it. you know you were all thinking it!
