Today, I got an email stating that my scholarship request was denied, 51 days after applying with no response. I'm now forced to drop-out from my college degree because I ran out of money, and I've been unsuccessful at finding a job for two years either, thanks to Covid. FML

Today, my parents gave me a letter they'd forgotten about since late last year. In it was a $30,000 scholarship to a local master's program with an application due date of two weeks ago. FML

Today, after a lot of effort put into it and finally getting a scholarship, they emailed me saying they can't afford to fund me because they were impacted by the pandemic. I'd already denied other scholarship offers because theirs was the best offer. FML

Today, I went to see my guidance counselor. I was supposed to hear from my college about a scholarship by October 3rd. I was worried since it was already the 2nd so I went to talk to her. She never turned in my nomination. Goodbye $80,000 scholarship. FML

Today, I was cleaning my father's study room and wondering why I did not receive my acceptance/rejection letter from a college I really wanted. I found the acceptance letter, on his desk, also approving of a full scholarship. The deadline to confirm was a month ago. FML

I cannot beleive how expensive is university and what you have to do to get a scholarship, in the US.. come study in France (about 700 dollars per year of inscription, social coverage and medical coverage), or even in Belgium.

I totally understand how bad this sucks. I got $500 for a scholarship. That's all. And I CAN'T get a loan because I need a co-signer and everyone in my family either has too much debt and refuses to co-sign(including my parents) or their credit score is so awful that they get denied. I had to tell my school today that I won't be attending and I was supposed to leave in 3 weeks. oh. and I had to send them $450(the majority of that scholarship) for the non-refundable tuition and housing deposits.
