Today, I got back my history paper. The whole paper had been crossed out and at the end, my professor had written "Really?!" I still don't know what I did wrong. FML

winterbee123 tells us more.

Hi all - I'm OP. I actually went to talk to my teacher and it turns out when he tells us to do "citations" he automatically assumes we know he actually means "footnotes". I accidentally started crying during our meeting and I think it freaked him out, so he's offering me a chance to rewrite it! Ah, the power of a girl's tears!

Have you thought about talking about it to her or him?

If you indeed wrote bullshit, you have no case. If you feel like you tried your best, report him/her. They should be correcting constructively.

They have given you the chance to submit a new and better paper.

if you want to know what he meant, try asking him.

That doesn't seem like a productive assessment of your paper. However, you need to speak with the professor if you want to know what he "really" meant.

jesus people try attach a pun on everything huh? ill admit, i usually find that joke amusing, had this fml stated the history paper was on WWII or the nazi regime, but it didnt

95- You must not be familiar with the term Grammar Nazi. I thought it was clever as grammar could've been what was wrong with the paper.

It's a pun WITHIN a pun... genius!

I had this happen to me in English. My teacher circled my introductory paragraph and write "WTH??" with regards to my thesis. I still can't find a reason why it got a C-.

I'm guessing you disagreed with his politics.

The moon landing wasn't a hoax. The Salem Witch trials didn't kill real witches. The Germans didn't win WWII Am I getting close? ;)
