Today, I went to the orthodontist's to get my braces tightened, and I chose baby blue bands. Turns out they make my teeth look extremely yellow. Only a month and a half to go. FML

Today, I just got back from school with my mouth feeling like a bomb site, and also very hungry. I just got my braces installed yesterday, and I have to wear them for 18 months. I can barely eat anything solid, which means I will be hungry more often. It's going to be an awesome 18 months trying to focus on school! FML

Today, I got my braces put on. This is the second time I've had them. The first time was after my cousin opened a car door in my face. This time a jock punched me in the mouth for saying that Reese's taste the same as Snickers peanut butter. FML

Not as bad as me bro, had mine on for 4 years because orthodontist screwed up. On the bright side, after about a year you don't really notice them.... much.

I have braces and i am 20. I hate it..but ppl just start looking past it. It's really not that big of a deal..I'm sure you look juts as fine as you did before your braces =]

I had braces, they were so harsh on the inside of my top lip that I never stopped using that wax in the whole 4 years. Now that they've been off, for several years mind, my lips have remained drawn up defensively. At first when I smiled, my top lip drew up so far it showed about a 2:1 gum:tooth ratio. It seemed perfectly natural to me until I saw pictures of myself, then for a while I tried to compensate by moving my top lip down, which made an ever worse face. Now I just don't smile, both because it would look bad and because that makes me sad. Braces permanently ruined my smile. (FML) Oh well it seems to work out better for most people, I'm sure you'll be fine, eventually.
