Today, I just got back from school with my mouth feeling like a bomb site, and also very hungry. I just got my braces installed yesterday, and I have to wear them for 18 months. I can barely eat anything solid, which means I will be hungry more often. It's going to be an awesome 18 months trying to focus on school! FML

Today, I got my braces put on. This is the second time I've had them. The first time was after my cousin opened a car door in my face. This time a jock punched me in the mouth for saying that Reese's taste the same as Snickers peanut butter. FML

So? I've had 'em for four. When I asked how long I would have a retainer after they come off, my dentist said "Forever, in my opinion".

be glad you can afford braces. a lot of people really need them but don't have good insurance or enough money.

i say just be glad you can afford braces. a lot of people need them but don't have good insurance or enough money. also, i had mine for 5 years and I'm still not done with all the corrective processes, so with only 2 years ahead of you i have no sympathy. also i've had numerous boyfriends, so obviously braces really don't matter that much.
