Today, I got fired for saving my company upwards of $6,000. I'm as confused as you are. FML
I agree, your life sucks 33 243
You deserved it 2 360

Grindwhore tells us more.

They have yet to give me a reason why, I'm still confused as hell.

The only way I could understand you getting fired was if your manager wanted to run his company into the ground and you saving money ruined his master plan

Means boss scared he will get fired, and used your idea as his. Call executive office asking for justification. You will be amazed at what you learn.

Maybe they have been wanting to fire you for a while and waited for the first opportunity they got, no matter how stupid of a reason. :( I hope you at least kept the money you saved up, and that you find a better job.

How did you save them money? Did you inadvertently cost money else where?

Maybe you were told you needed to save more?

Earlier my sister told me that she had found the missing $68,000 at her company. But she had taken it upon herself to do it after the person who was supposed to left early for a doctor's appointment. Because my sister had to focus on that task, her job of answering phones was supposed to be taken over by someone else who decided he didn't feel like doing it. When the manager came and saw that the phones weren't being answered, she gave my sister shit for not doing her job, despite that she was just trying to help. Luckily my sister is a hard ass and doesn't let anyone walk all over her, so she and her job are safe. But maybe something similar happened with OP, and she didn't have the chance to stick up for herself.

It says OP posted a comment... but where is it?

There's always more to the story. OP could've fired 50 employees for no reason to save money for all we know! Even though that's probably not the case, OP could've done something that went against a company policy.

Yea saving your company money does seem like an appropriate reason to be fired. Logic.

Probably just having to pay more taxes..
