Wtf? Seriously? -.- That's a pathetic reason why your boss fired you! I think there should be people like you who is kind and caring in an age care facility because it will make the people in the facility a better and happy place for them beside the fact that they will be passing at some point soon. FYL Op, it's your boss's loss for firing such a kind person like you. I really hope you can take this problem to your union (if you belong to one) or some authority place for taking care of an age care facility.

I'd bet that your kindness made you suck at your job in some way. Like, maybe your co-workers had to pick up your slack because your kindness made you chatty and therefore too slow. That would be my guess.
