Today, I got into a fight with my mom over the chores, and stormed out. When I returned later, I found the house had been egged. My mom told my dad she saw me do it, and he won't believe my side of the story. He says I'll be lucky if I see sunlight this summer. FML

Today, my mom and dad got into a fight, during which my dad said to my mom that her health conditions were of her own doing. Because of that, I got pissed and had a fight with my dad, taking my mom's side. Turns out, my mom took his side and ratted me out. FML

Today, my mom and siblings got into a fight. Being generally quiet and non-confrontational, I stayed out of it. Shortly thereafter, I was yelled at by my mother for being "ungrateful" and "disrespectful." I still don't know what I did wrong. FML

Today, my dad and I got into an argument, and he ended up calling me a son of a bitch. My mom heard and started arguing with him over him calling her a bitch. Three hours later, I'm now staying at my gran's house with my mom and hoping her threats of a divorce weren't for real. FML

Today, my mom spent an hour lecturing me on how I'm a doormat who lets people walk all over me, and that I needed to be more assertive. So I stood up and told my dad, no, I am not going on that forestry camp he wants me to go to. Mom sat silently by as he screamed and grounded me for the entire summer. FML

Today, my dad and mom and I were going out to eat dinner. My dad wanted a romantic dinner just with my mom so he told me to make an excuse not to go. I did, which ended up as a huge fight, grounded and phone taken away. My dad just stood there in the background putting thumbs up. FML

Today, I woke up early, went to the gym, then came home and showered. When I went into my room to change, my mom woke up and started pounding on my door, screaming about how lazy and useless I was for sleeping so late. When I tried to tell her otherwise, she grounded me for "talking back". FML

I learned a long time ago that when your mom tells you to do the dishes (or any kind of chore), you should just not argue and do the dishes. Saves your ass from shit like this man. Anyway, I hope you get un-grounded before the end of summer!

Your Mom is an absolute child for blaming you, especially since she really didn't see you do it. I'm willing to wager that she did it herself, which makes her even more childish. And guys? Some families put WAY too many chores on their kids and just sit around all day while the kid does all the work. That's how it was with me. As soon as I moved out, the place went to absolute shit because my fatass Mom refused to get up and clean anything herself. She'd gotten used to me doing everything instead. It's fine to teach responsibility. But it gets to be a little sad when the kids are contributing more to the household cleanliness than the home owners themselves by a huge margin.

The coincidence is just too much to bear. You can't fool us. I know you were coming here for sympathy, but we see right through you. Clean up the eggs and do your ******* chores! On the plus side, you won't get skin cancer. (I was going to say bright side, but you're not going to see any brightness.)
