Today, I got my laptop back after sending it to Dell to repair water damage after a night of partying. Dell returned my computer unrepaired, saying it was unfixable. When I called to ask why they couldn't fix it, they told me it was a biohazard. Someone got drunk and pissed on my laptop. FML

Today, I got my laptop back after waiting weeks for it to be fixed. It turns out that they didn't fix it; they dusted it off, held it for a few days, and sent it back. FML

Today, after five months of working overtime and doing my own repairs around the house, such as patching my own roof to save money, I walk into my home office. I find my $2500, week old, top of the line laptop won't turn on because it's drenched in water. Apparently there's a leak in the roof. FML

Today, I had a party at my house. I have a nice laptop that I hook up to the stereo, but someone almost spilt beer on it, so I took it downstairs. Later on in the night, I went down to look something up on it. Someone had taken a shit on it. FML

Today, Dell's tech support called to tell me that the laptop I sent to them was going to cost an extra $300 to fix, because of the shattered screen. When I mailed my laptop to them, the touchpad wasn't working. The screen was fine. FML

Today, I got my laptop back after lending it to my friend. It wouldn't boot, and after investigating I found out it'd been stripped of its hard drive and all its memory. When I confronted my "friend", he accused me of lying and trying to ruin his reputation. FML

Today, I decided to be healthy and drink a tall glass of water whilst doing my assignment that is due in three days. I managed to spill the entire glass over my laptop. I flipped it over and used a hairdryer to dry it off. While doing that, I managed to melt my keyboard. FML

Ok to all the people who said he should have put it somewhere safe, when YOU are planning a party, do you generally consider the fact that some drunk guy might take a leak on your laptop? Unless you are some type of mega OCD person (in which case you probably wouldn't have drunk people in your house anyway) you do not consider that possibility! So stop bitching at him saying he deserves it when you would probably not do anything differently! :P

Oh, and btw, my parents both work at dell. My dad is an accountant there and my mom does tech support. So, all our computers are dells, and generally they work great! So i dont know what you people are talking about when you are talking about how sucky dells are, they work just as fine as any other computer, as long as you don't download some virus (in which case, there are virus blockers and firewalls you can get) And macs really are not worth the price, unless you have tons of money to blow

Actually, when I have a party or even just a group of people over, even if there is to be no drinking, I make sure I put my laptop away in a place where people will not have access because so many different things can happen if you're not watching it. And I have a Dell laptop that works just fine, though if I had the option, I would have gotten a Mac. Most viruses are not designed for Macs, which is why they generally work better. And according to osha's website, urine is not considered a biohazard unless there is blood in it.
