Today, I got shut in the walk-in freezer at work. I started banging on the door. My boss wouldn't come and open it because she didn't "play games". She thought I was kidding. FML

Sounds like she was giving you the cold shoulder.

That had to suck..... Keep calm and go ape shit when the door opens

I thought most freezer doors now come with an emergency lock in case something like that happens? Either way she shouldn't have acted like that, joking or not.

"It's not that bad. It's cold in there, like a freezer I guess. Just pretend it's wintertime. Play some games, draw in the frost, build a snow man... Out of meat."

Did you wake up in the future were everything is chrome and start screaming Future?

Reminds me of the time I thought I was locked in the walk-in cooler while I was working...

Walk in freezers have an emergency button/knob to open the door from the inside....

If the handle on the outside worked then ya it's almost impossible because it's a straight rod that pushes open the handle on the other side it's one of the simplest mechanism ever. And if it was broken it would be really easy to spot.

did you miss the post about the emergency for handle and that Elkins lock from the inside?

Not buying it. There hasn't been a walk-in built in 100 years that doesn't have an unlockable door release on the inside.

Nobody wonders why she didn't just call someone on a cellphone to let her out? I know, might not be allowed to have phone on person during work, no reception in freezer. Whatever. But still no asking about it? :( That's the first thing I thought of.

maybe the door was just too heavy to move by themself... cuz a safety latch on the inside would do nothing to make the door lighter
