That's messed up. I hope it was nothing and maybe he said it for something else, but he should have at least said why so as not to have you worrying and if something is wrong, he is supposed to tell you, and if he doesn't that's lawsuit material! Hope everything's ok!
This person probably has herpes and was just commenting on their state of genitals, not even aware that you were that freaked out.
Techs just take the image. By law (at least here, in California), they can't diagnose conditions- by that I mean tell patients what is in the picture. It's very common for them to act stupid when patients ask about their scans/x-rays (even though they see a over a dozen a day and can usually spot abnormalities) because people who might be dying don't take "Nope, can't tell you" for an answer. I have a lot of family in medicine and it seems common that patients are upset about techs being silent. Anyway, OP's tech was completely unprofessional.
He sounds like a amature doctor as they are trained specially to overcome such news and reports. I hope that there's nothing serious with you, Ameen.

Actually, he can't say jack shit to him. He's a tech - his job is to take the X-ray, not to interpret it. It would be ethically reprehensible for the tech to tell him anything. It's just as wrong for the tech to say what he did.
Wow, the amount of ignorance swirling around here is staggering. You're all wrong. The tech is not supposed to say anything, so no one got trolled. And the amount of radiation from a chest X-ray is 0.1 mSv, or the same radiation you're exposed to just living for 10 days.
