Today, I had a seizure while at the airport, ready to go on vacation with my family. We ended up missing our flight. My mom spent most of the ride home making cracks about how I'm always ruining things with my "dramatics". Sorry that I have epilepsy, mom. FML

She sounds like a total bitch, sorry you have to put up with someone blaming you for something you have no control over. Hopefully you can schedule a new vacation soon!

Sorry to say but your mother seems more concerned about entertainment rather than towards your health ,this is very selfish on her part.

Wow, your Mom sounds horrible. Sorry you have to go through that OP, having epilepsy isn't easy, but it's even more difficult when your family isn't supportive.

Sorry to read OP my father has epilepsy and anytime at all when he has one he is number 1 since it is very serious I think your mom is just being jaded since she can't go on her vacation but don't that let effect you since she can't get over the fact that you are number 1 in such situation also if she really wanted to have one dam vacation so badly then just go alone.

Oh my god this is my life. My mom and sister both insisted I was just being a drama queen every time I had a grand mal seizure. My husband doesn't even call them anymore when I'm in the hospital because of this shit. I feel for you OP. I really do.

So terrible, I am epileptic and although I Am a good sport with the jokes, it really does suck and is exhausting.Usually I have some kind of damage like a chewed up tongue or memory loss.fyl

Here, having a crack means having a go/being unpleasant, that sort of thing. Cracking a joke is a whole other phrase.

This is the most depressing FML I've read.

I mean she's probably just frustrated that she wasn't able to have some fun on her vacation especially if she works. However, she should not have taken her anger out on you either.

Your "Mom" is a horrible excuse for a human being. I hope one day you'll be Seizure free!

I have anxiety attacks and my mom has told me the same thing. Your situation is worse, but I understand how you must feel. I hope your mom stops her dramatics, OP. God bless.
