Today, I had an interview scheduled for 10:05. When I got there, someone was talking to them, so I sat down to wait. Little did I know this wait would be 45 minutes. I got told to go home and that I'd be rescheduled. FML

Even if OP did say she showed up early, this doesn't make any sense. Showing up early allows the interviewee to gather his/her thoughts and saves the interviewer time that would otherwise be spent waiting.

If they are going to mess you about as an interviewee then you can be sure they'll be a lot worse when you are an employee. Unless you really need the job I'd not go to the next interview.

I wouldn't give them the time of day for being so incredibly rude, whether or not they were testing you. I'm sure they wouldn't give you another chance if you kept them waiting for 45 minutes.

That's extremely inconsiderate of the company. I hope you explained to the manager what happened and made it clear that you don't appreciate having your time wasted.

Come one OP it was just 45 mins! Get over it. I waited 9 hrs for a job interview once which i really needed and then didnt even get selected after giving a tremendous interview just because other candidates had contacts in the company. That's an FML.
