If everytime I got on, I read an FML post from a starving child in a third wotld country, I'd tell the kid he deserves it for paying for internet and a computer instead of food. Seriously, almost no one would visit the site if it was full of sad tragedies. And that's not what the site is for, as has been explained multiple times.

yes, it's true that some people have to do that, but op's point was clearly not that they had a horrible life. the point was that they spent his whole weekend working for nothing because they didn't really lose the USB. those kids making sneakers aren't doing it for nothing, they're doing it to live. stop reading so far into things and just enjoy the damn site.
