Today, I had just sat down in the lobby of my doctor's office when my phone alerted me that I had a friend request. I checked; it was from some girl from high school. I muttered to myself, "I don't want to be your friend." I then heard a gasp. She was sitting across from me. FML

I probably should have made a few things clear first, this girl was a total bitch in high school and made fun of me daily. So you can imagine how surprised I was in that horribly awkward situation.

Can't blame you. No way you could have predicted that. But maybe you should check your phone less and look around you more.

Sounds to me that gives you grief at school to get attention from her friends. Being in a non school location and sending a friend request. might have been her chance to let her guard down and accept you while her friends weren't around.

Maybe she liked you all along, but was being a bitch to you to hide her own insecurities, and try getting the other kids to bully you instead

In grade 7 I had started at a new school the 2nd term in. I was made fun of & tricks played on me. One of the guys that was involved in it, I saw a number of years later when we where teenagers & he was working at McDonald came up to me & asked if my name was ... I was surprised that he even remembered my name. He want in to ask how I was & if I was enjoying high school etc. I was so blown away that he seemed to care, so I forgave him without telling him. I just acted friendly back. If someone's been a bitch or so & so. Two wrongs don't make a right you have to be the better person
