Today, I had my first ice skating lesson. I had to wait 5 years for a rink to open in my town, 2 weeks for my lessons to begin, but only 10 minutes to fall and hit my tailbone so hard that I can't walk. FML

The circle of life is a vicious one. Take heed, wear protection.

from experience: you can NOT wear protection for your tailbone. I'm a hockey player and an excellent skater and even i have hit my tailbone a few times. even if she were wearing hockey pants they dont afford any real protection. FYL op that hurts like hell.

5years for sex, two weeks to get a gf, 10 minutes to finish, that must be your life, fyl

oh!!!! I know ALL to well how you feel. I fell ob my tailbone roller blading about two years ago, and it still hurts to sit on it.

awwwwwww that sucks:( but why wait so long?.....and what's a tailbone?

Well first of all nobody wears protection butt pads during their first figure skating lesson. It's overkill. Even skaters doing double jumps sometimes don't wear pads. In skating, you have to learn how to fall properly- on the side of your leg or on one butt cheek.

well, better on your tailbone than on your face. when i tried ice skating for the first time, i fell forward and in the process of catching my fall i broke my wrist.

I dislocated my tailbone in figure skating. and relocated it the same way...

I'm a figure skater, when we do this, we HAVE to skate it off and get back to work. Don't be a pussy.

I hope your tailbone doesn't come out of your crack LOL xD

I feel your pain (literally!!!) The first time I went iceskating is also the only time I went. Within the first hour in the rink I hit the wall and shattered my pinkie and part of my hand..... and I play saxophone....... which meant I couldn't play for a few weeks.
