I'm reading these comments seeing too much negativity in them. There are so many people quick to judge even after the followup was posted. It's sad to see everyone thinks that having sex with an ex no matter what is completely wrong and that OP should be shamed. She's still in love with him and wants to work things out, but society frowns upon it anyway. What's the problem with two consenting people sharing a beautiful moment? If she wants to try to work it out, she should go for it, not be put to shame! On a sadder note, if it was a guy who posted this, he'd be praised for getting laid. Shows how stupid and pathetic society truly is.

I hope things do work out for you. I understand that sometimes you give a relationship a shot, but sometimes the timing isn't right, or you need to work on yourselves to be better to each other. I think it's better to give it another shot when it feels right than to wonder what could have happened the rest of your life.

Why is this an FML? Do you regret not sleeping with him 6 years ago or do you regret having slept with him now? It's not unheard of for people to hook up with people from their past, and it's not necessarily a bad thing.

omg! I did almost the exact same thing! when I was 20 I lost my virginity to a guy I had dated for two years. we broke up when I was 16. lol but I trusted him (ish) and had known him for a long time. so i get it.
