Today, I had to calm my rather gullible boyfriend down and reassure him that the email he got, telling him that he has AIDS, was just a scam. FML

I'm thinking the email was his lab results which is why he's freaking out. You might just want to go ahead and get tested too.

I don't think test results are emailed, especially such a serious diagnosis. But who knows, it's a possibility because he is really stupid if he would believe something like that without having any suspicions.

Can it hurt to get a blood test for STD's and be certain? If he thinks he has it because of an e-mail, he's probably been up to something and has reason to believe that.

If it really was a scam, I would just take him to get tested to put his mind at ease. You get tested too! That way he really will realize everything is okay.
