That's seriously awful. I'm sorry OP :( Hope you can figure out something like direct deposit to keep your money safe.
I know too many people with thieving mothers sadly and having a separate, secret account is a clever way of working around this issue. Calling the police is always an option as well.
op depending on your age. You can take your mother off of your account. As long as you're over 18. She can't do that that's actually a crime if she cashes your check without your permission. She is forging your signature. Next time she does it call the cops. teach her a lesson. As much as I hate to say that and do that to a parent. They have no right to cash a check in which you worked hard to get. For any reason
Time for you to talk to her, OP. If she still doesn't listen, take some serious actions.
I'm sure you can tell the bank and have them make a note on your account to not let her do that. Your mom sounds shady as ****.
That's ****** up that you even have to do that.
One with your right hand the other with your left? They usually end up looking quite different.
I think you can talk to your bank about making a rule to where she cannot cash them into her account
disown her! no one needs that kind of toxic snake in the grass in their lives.
Use a credit union. They keep your picture on the computer connected to your account so that they can see it's not you.

the bank shouldn't let her anyway. Tell them that every time someone comes in to cash a cheque under your name that they have to take ID. That's part of the reason many banks won't take third party cheques anymore. Also your mother could end up paying a hefty fine/go to jail for her actions.
That's some mother
