I've met people who didn't know the difference between transsexual and transgender. The important thing being that transsexuals are transgender, but trans* people (like those gender non conforming) aren't necessarily transsexual where you have a mind body swap.

You'd be surprised. People get transgender and transsexual mixed up and at least OP want to know exactly what it is so they don't end up making a fool of themselves
