Today, I heard my daughter scream at my son through the bathroom door, "Are you jacking off in there or something?" and him scream back at her "Shut up you fucking cunt!" My daughter is 7 and my son is 8. FML

Wow. I blame public schools? Harrr. :B

What sort of vulgar environment are you raising your kids in? Or is it simply the way our schooling system has come to nowadays... FYL & YDI.

I knew most words like that when I was that age. I got them from school. Maybe it's not YOUR fault, it could be the fault of another childs parent? Did you not think of that?

@#23 and all others screaming "bad parenting" You think the kids learn that at home? I don't know where you live but where I live we got this thing called school. That's where I learnt all that stuff, not from my parents. It really doesn't matter what your parents say or do if every day you're around badly raised kids at school.

WTF man? WTF kind of kids say shit like that? yo my kids get beaten with ****** rocks wrapped in electrical tape EVERY DAY while i scream bible verses at them. ever think they swear and shit? **** no, their to busy bleeding. these kids need some ******* jesus and some ****** beatinsgs/ ur probably som ****** libbral or someshit. dont bring ur kids near my kids i dont need them learnig libbrul bullshit about 'child abuse" ur kids need jesus real bad

#494, Please die now, but look up the definition of hypocrisy first.

#494 is an obvious troll, don't feed it.

That's pretty extreme, especially of course for 7- and 8-year-olds. Quit blaming the media, I've never heard the word "****" on TV. The other stuff is questionable. Oh well, they'll learn profanity sooner or later.

I heard most of the cuss words when I was 9 and 10. That's also when I learned a few things about sex. My parents have NEVER cussed around my brother and me and to tell you the truth, my mom never even gave me the sex talk. All these "bad wordly things" I've learned from being in public school (in RURAL Oklahoma I might add) and from the media. I mean seriously? Do you see what's one TV these days or listen to what's on the radio? I've heard PLENTY of seven and eight year olds says some things that I have NEVER DARED to say because I know I would've had my butt bruised all over!!! I see kids ALL THE TIME that have cell phones! Nice ones too like iPhones and Blackberrys! Really? What do they even use them for? To text their friends and say "Hey let's go swing together at recess!" THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE AN ADVANCED ENOUGH VOCABULARY TO PRODUCE MEANINGFUL TEXTS! And unfortunately, I see 4th and 5th grade girls wearing make up too. I blame ALL of it on society!!! It's been almost 10 years ago since I was this age, but it's VERY possible that these kids have learned this stuff from school and the media. Just saying. Also, the only reason that it WOULD be the OP's fault is if they let their kids spend massive amounts of time watching TV or on the computer and if they listen to vulgar music, which most of it is nowadays. And maybe the OP never expected them to say things like this so that's why they never talked to them about using good language. :)
