Today, I introduced my dad, who is a surgeon, to the TV show 'House, M.D.' I thought it'd be a good bonding experience. How wrong I was. He spent the whole time yelling about the "insane" medical inaccuracies, then lectured me about my crappy taste in TV. FML

******* "House". I can't watch that goddamned show. Doctors don't do their own pathology, give medicines, start IVs, take X-rays, do angiograms, or run the MRI. $@!% &*#%* £$!@ "#+*!

#44 how are you in med school if you're only 20?

I love House. I'm a nurse, so I see the inaccuracies as well but laugh most of them off. Try to anyway. Sometimes it's hard. TV is generally horrible at depicting medical shows.

Never show somebody a movie or tv show about their field. It's never accurate.

I actually read a book about House. Most of the medical stuff is theoretically possible, just extremely unlikely. A lot of it is actually inspired by real events. The only thing that is inaccurate is the way they handle the case and the way they act at the workplace.

oh dear, really.ydi. you really deserve it. I'm not one to be mean, but medical shows are never a good thing for anyone who knows anything about medicine. I'm banned from watching any medical show with my family, I sit there pointing out what is inaccurate, it pisses them off. rookie mistake, but you deserve that one kidder.

Med School at age 20? Damn son you get it done

Can't ever go wrong with Breaking Bad!

Dude should get over it. I'm a historian. Guess how many inaccuracies I see in every single show/movie that takes place in the good old days? Reaaally doesn't have to make the experience any less enjoyable.
