Today, I introduced my ex-wife to my new girlfriend. They got along so well that my new girlfriend is going to my ex-wife's house tonight "just to hang out". FML

Michael here... I had to introduce the new girlfriend to the exwife when I picked up my kid. My exwife didn't want my son spending the weekend with me and her if she didn't meet her. They did end up sharing things about me. However they claim that if I think that's all they talked about that I'm really conceded. I think I'm more paranoid than conceded, though.

It really depends how the marriage ended. My dad and his first wife are still friends, as are the first wife with my mom (his current wife.) When we're in the area we go to their place for dinner on occasion. Its not really weird for anyone. So... it could not be a bad thing that your girlfriend and wife are friends if the marriage ended well.

It's pretty ridiculous that this is even an issue, let alone an FML. It goes to stand that two people you date would have things in common and get along, why shouldn't they be friends? This belongs on mylifeisaverage.com

This is not an FML. Women will be women, and you will find that they get along with each other more than the people they're dating. Also as they have the same taste in men, they probably have other things in common.
