Why would you 'jokingly' ask someone to marry you? Marriage is a serious commitment.
I joke about it plenty with my boyfriend. Even though we think we might someday in the future, our relationship is still young (less then 1.5 years) and we know we aren't anywhere near ready. Better to joke about it and not get married, than to get married and treat it like a joke.
Today, my girlfriend asked me to marry her. FML.
Is there like some tradition I don't know about that includes playing pranks on leap years?
