Smart kitty... How to know if your cat is plotting to kill you would be a good book for this
Benadryl may not be the best option, it could make you drowsy. Maybe during the day, try Zyrtec or Allegra, then Benadryl at night. I have an allergy to cats, dust, grass, pollen, and several other things. I stack my allergy meds, 4 different kinds, and it works great. Only during peak allergy season in spring and fall do I have major issues. I say try experimenting with different OTC allergy meds, and if you can't find one that works, talk to your doc. Good luck OP, and keep the kitty. :)
The cat isn't being affectionate. It's trying to kill you and make it look like an accident. This kind of genius is why humans will one day serve our kitty overlords.
awwwwwwwww so jealous kittens are my favorite I'm allergic to but I deal with it because they are so adorable but yeah I know how you feel sorry OP
Typically your allergy will go away with more contact, so hopefully you start feeling better soon. In the mean time take some allergy medicine.
You're allergic to the cutest thing on the planet?! You must be put down to ensure total cat control of the global human population. You will be terminated!
I just learned that I'm allergic to cat and dog dander & have intermittent asthma & I have cats..my allergist told me to consider allergy shots & to take something like Allegra for the allergy symptoms
I'm allergic to both dogs and cats, but I've had dogs since I was very little (a toddler, but we had to give our first dog to my grandparents when she snapped at me, so my first real dog was when I was 4). I'm 28 now and I have no symptoms to my dog because I've developed an immunity, which happens if you expose yourself to the allergens. It's actually how allergy shots work, they add the allergen in extreme dilution so you develop an immunity. That being said, they never (or rarely ever) do allergy shots for animals because it can be dangerous. But if you put yourself on a regimen of some kind of over-the-counter allergy medication (if you choose a sleepy kind like zyrtec or benedryl, make sure to take it before bed), it'll combat the symptoms and you'll develop an immunity over time without having to give up your little floofball.

Benedryl ! You may be able to do something. Talk to an allergist before doing anything drastic.
That could be death by cuteness
