Today, I learned that instead of discarding expired products at my work, we change the label to make them 'expire' later. FML

Ewww! That sounds like that's illegal to do...

I say report them to whatever trading standards board you have in the US. That's illegal and if someone gets ill eating their food, they'll be able to sue. Big time.

#17 my life is over if I can never eat taco bell again. *sigh*

we did that at Quiznos as well. but that was just to satisfy corporate because they only wanted prepared food to be refrigerated for up to two days for meats and produce, and 5 days for cheeses while health code said something like 5 days meats and produce and 10 days cheese or something like that. so we just relabeled them.

If you're at a grocery store, that's gross. Go blow some whistles!

more like **** your customers lives.

so. you work in the walmart grocery depatment?

One of my friends told me that they do this for eggs.. when it expires they ship it back to the company, which will repackage it ? I don't know, sounds fishy but maybe.
