You can thank the hate group that masqueraded as a charity, known as Autism Speaks, for spreading misinformation that demonizes autism, by phrasing it as if every person sign autism is suffering, a waste of space, a weight on society, and that parents are somehow entitled to abuse their kids because they're neurodivergent- up to and including glorifying murdering said kids. Oh, and traumatizing children through harmful "therapy" in attempts to "normalize" them, because the parents are "embarrassed" that their kid finds talking to be painful or uncomfortable, or they stim in public. Because apparently letting a kid use coping methods that don't hurt anyone to do better is worse than giving people PTSD instead of teaching people that not everyone is the same. Because **** people being accommodating to people born different unless said difference is something blatantly obvious like a missing limb, everyone that is 100% neuro and physical typical needs to be "cured," regardless of what said demographics think. TL;DR: Blame Autism Speaks, the hate group, for masquerading as people doing a Good Thing, and people for not asking the people Autism Speaks CLAIMS to speak for, for their opinion on what the group was saying.

Yes, because saying that one of the worst attempted genocides in human history didn't happen is somehow worse than acknowledging that it did happen. I guess all those Jewish and Romani people, as well as disabled and non-heterosexual people just vanished with no cause, and the tons of ash with human DNA, and files with reports written by Nazi scientist about the unethical experiments they performed were all fabricated. Thinking that it's wrong to put mayo on fries is an understandable and valid thing to have a differing opinion on. Saying that over ten million people weren't murdered in cold blood is NOT a valid thing to disagree on, ESPECIALLY when there is documented evidence in spades.
