As someone who went to years of therapy after an abusive relationship as well, I can only congratulate you for your strength! I know it is very hard to open up about something like this and I admire you for being strong enough to seek the help you need. It will get better, I promise. Be patient and stay as strong as you obviously are. Regarding your mother, I'd suggest to maybe take her with you to one of your therapy sessions. She might not understand what you are going through, so show her. If she is still not willing to understand, as harsh as it may sound, get some space. You've had a hard time and you don't need any more negativity around you. I am not saying you should abandon your mother or end your relationship, but do get some space and surround yourself with supportive people. All the love to you, you got this.
