Today, I'm insanely hungover from a long night of drinking. I'm going to my nephew's baptism in an hour as his godmother. FML

There's a "Holy Spirit" joke here somewhere.

I have nothing against having drinks once in awhile but if u knew you had a big responsibility why did you do it? Especially when ur supposed to be setting a good example for you nephew as his godmother.

I don't see how this is an FML. Clearly OP would have known about her obligation the following day and that drinking too much leads to hangovers. It's like saying I ate too much and now I won't be able to handle dessert. Big surprise.

That is completely your fault. I feel bad for OP's nephew.

No sympathy here! I had a problem like that but, I went to rehab 20 yrs ago! You might think about that before you ruin another special occasion! Re-think the Godmother role, also!!!

I hope you don't sleep in church

Sounds like you have a very long and very boring day ahead of you.

Remind me to never choose you for a godparent. It's sad when a godparent doesn't take the role seriously and just doesn't care. One of my best friends chose someone else to be their son's godmother. But that person never saw the baby after he was born, and he's 2 now. I had helped her out as much as I could by babysitting, buying diapers, buying his birthday presents for her because she couldn't afford to herself, I bought his Halloween costume, etc. She started crying and told me about how Tina was his godmother and she never even came to see him. I didn't know that Sara even had a godmother for Anthony. So she asked me to be his godmother instead. I'm not Catholic but I really wanted to help her out since we went to high school together, worked together as CNAs, and she was my best friend. And I wanted to be a role model for Anthony. It's very hurtful to the parents of a child whose godparent doesn't care. Because they obviously trusted and respected that person, so when they disappoint them it hurts even worse.

If you don't want to be a responsible god parent, point blank, DON'T DO IT!! If its not your cup of tea, say so! But don't act like this twit and show up to a church smelling like a brewery and probably vomit. How rude are you to say it's boring? I hope you have a child that ends up with an irresponsible god parent just for that comment!

I fail to see how you don't deserve this...

Haha I did the same thing at my dad's baptism today...

You are 16 and you had an insane hangover at your DADs baptism? Let me guess you have smoked weed.. Had sex.. Alot! Wonders where a decent guy is.. (Friendzone) Complain about mainstream.. Come close to being pregnant before.. Feel free to add or take off stuff from this list.. (Be honest..)

Way to change your age following this comment..
