Maybe (hopefully) she got scared for other reasons 🤔

There are many possible reasons why she started crying. Maybe she was surprised, maybe it was something about your clothing, maybe it wasn't about you or maybe you're really that ugly and you should use a paper bag to cover your face. Draw a smiley on the bag to make people laugh.

It’s possible that you reminded the child of someone else that gave her a traumatic experience. Maybe you look like a villain in a cartoon the child watched or maybe you look like someone they saw in a bad dream. It’s also possible the child was looking at someone or something beyond you that scared her. Small children are often more aware of the world around us than we are. Sometimes seeing things that no adult can see because we stopped believing in ghosts and goblins long ago.
