Today, I managed to get a €5 note tangled in the zip on my purse. I couldn't open it without ripping it to shreds. FML

Well at least it wasn't worth much more than 5€!

Don't you have a wallet to prevent that from happening?

It always sucks when that happens! There's always a moment when you're thinking "should I unzip it or leave it..." but hey, at least it was only 5€. :)

At least it wasn't a fly and at least you aren't a guy; I'd rip all the money in my wallet to shreds if it kept me from ever having to face that danger again.

Take the €5 to a local bank and explain what happened, they should exchange it for you.

wow. you're crying about USD $7? i make about that in 1/4 hour. dont sweat it momoneymoproblems.

congrats on a job where you dont care if you waste 7$. Not everyone has that luxury.

Do you even realise that salaries vary A LOT from country to country? Where I live, it takes more than a whole day to make 7 dollars in minimum wage. Not everyone has those luxuries, #45.

Because everyone has the same salary, right? With all due respect, please get over yourself. You say that because you're probably a doctor or a lawyer and never had to do without anything in your life. You just wait someday, with your mentality, your world will come crashing down. Then YOU will be the one crying for 7 dollars.

Google it or read the previous comments.

Not to sound ignorant or anything but how much is that in dollars, just to put it into perspective

Why do people not follow the romanian example? Our banknotes are made from a type of plastic..not only are they notoriously difficult to tear but they are also much harder to counterfit

Polymer notes for the win :) couldn't tear one of those buggers if you tried, and I've never seen one get stuck in a zip either

contact your bank and fill out a form and get a new €5 show a bit of your damaged note
