Today, I met my boyfriend's entire extended family at a party. All of them, including his dad, said I looked exactly like his mum. FML

Don't take it personally. It's not really always a bad thing. One of my cousins have been dating this one girl for about a year now, and I've never once met her and neither has majority of our extended family due to me and my parents being the only extended he and his family has with our 7 other cousins, 3 aunts, 3 uncles, and rest of his dad's side of the family all living in Korea. I'm still yet to meet this girl, and the first time I saw her picture alone, for a moment, I thought I was looking at my aunt (my cousin's mom) that I had to do a double take to try and figure out if the environment of where the picture was taken was in Korea or in the States. Not only does she look just like my aunt, but from just her picture alone, I can tell she's a nice person. Someone saying that you look like your boyfriend's mother can also be a compliment.

I had the exact same thing with my ex and his family. It got worse when she got a hair cut to mimic mine
