Way to go.
to be fair a good service tech would of caught that on the phone.. check breaker, safety locks, getting water... sorry you had to pay that much
She probably never talked to the tech directly. There was probably an operator that set up the work order. And unless the tech was trained only one that 1 model he probably had no idea if there is an unlock button
A man would sooner chop his testicles off than call a technician. Sexist commenters, rejoice: this truly could have only happened to a woman.
I don't know how you could have not realized this... but certainly this could have been resolved by RTFM
I have never seen a dishwasher with a lock/unlock feature... Someone please explain it's purpose to me.
Probably so it doesn't fly open and soak the kitchen. Just to point out the obvious. RTFM.
Forthat type of lock, it needs to be locked to run, which wouldn't make since in this fml. Probably a child lock feature, so they don't put toys or pets in and try to wash them... My dishwasher doesn't have that, but some do, and my washer/dryer both have it, and won't turn on when the child lock is on. And yes, there are usually words on the front that tell you what button to push for it...

Read The ******* Manual.
That's a lot of money for under one minute of work.
