Today, I parked in a "Disabled" space. A woman and her kids comes yelling at me about how I don't look disabled and I was just being selfish. I roll my pants up to reveal two prosthetic legs. She then yells at me that I should have warned her before showing my legs since it could scare her kids. FML

A mother like that is enough to scare the kids.

Looks like she didn't have a leg to stand on.

I'd like to know why this person deserved this? Anyone who voted that care to tell me why?

Looks like the woman didn't have a foothold on the situation before she went off. But OP went toe-to-toe with her to show her up. Yeh, I'm a heel for making up puns, but it is my sole purpose in life.

I wish we could give you a special badge for being so punny!

You have encountered the wild 'mombie' who thinks everything revolves around her and that everyone should adore her cublets.

it should be completely legal to slap a person in that situation. life lesson... learned

I have a paralyzed vocal cord from cancer, and I'm always very wheezy, so I have a handicap spot because walking too far will make me black out. I just can't breathe well enough to ambulate that far. I'm also overweight for the exact same reason. No, I don't have a handicap placard because I'm fat.... I feel for you that people don't understand you and judge you unfairly. That mom is a bad role model for her kids. good on ya. Can you whack her with one of those? She needs a clue by four!

I'd be tempted to take a leg off and hit her with it, if I were you

It's REALLY hard to stand on just one prosthetic leg.

Hey man, I'm in (kinda) the same boat... lbka. I always **** with them. "Oh I'm sorry, Dr...????" "I'm not a Dr." "Oh, my apologies Officer..." "I'm not a cop" "So this is none of your ******* business?" And walk away. I always hope they call the cops, but I've yet to walk out to them still standing there with the police.

So sad that she is teaching her kids to think that a prosthesis is something to be scared of. Like you can "catch" an amputation. She should teach her children acceptance and stop being such a ninny. This is the reason some people with autoimmune diseases that attack joints, like Rheumatoid arthritis, don't get a sticker they need. Because even though their feet are in excruciating pain with every step, they rather not be humiliated by someone who can't see their disability.
