no worries, man. my parents used to get this "chicken jerky" for my dog, and one time, seeing an empty bag, my dad got onto me because i was "spoiling the dog" by giving him treats too often. they were really good.

Lol, I've ate that stuff before, and it was pretty good.
this FML wouldn't be complete without you telling us that 'they tasted good' or 'I loved them' or something. that'd be pretty cool. I'm a bit worried that you didn't read the packet though... that's why pet food has pictures on them.. to let people who can't (or just DON'T) read writing that it actually is pet food. I remember a story i was told ages ago: people from overseas who couldn't read english apparently ate canned cat food thinking it was just a normal fish kind of meal...because on the no-name generic brand tins there was no picture to identify that it was actual pet food 0.o scary stuff. But all seemed to end well for you, i guess you're still alive right? and hey, in the end it's just beef - it's probably of slightly lower quality, but it's still beef. bon apetit
Animal food is a lower quality than human food. It does not have to follow strict handling and processing guidelines. It won't kill you but there may be some... issues with it.

My half-blind mostly unable to taste grandfather did this once. His reaction: "It's not half bad."
Honestly though the dog jerky vs human jerky is the same thing though just with a different package. Sort of like peanut for parrots... it's the same thing for both people and parrots except one bag says it's for parrots and the other not. So it's just a matter of names rather than what the object actually represents.
